So, at last, we are a full year old! We started off slow, but then we picked it all up and now look at us! We have a beautiful 243 members, 21 affiliates, and 588 submissions. We also passed out 7,000th pageview!

If you want to help out more, advertise a bit! Of course, you should have our icon in your journal - but you can also add our link to your dA signature, you can make a new article that mentions us, or you can just submit more deviations! All are welcome!

***ABOUT US***

We tried looking for a club that specialized in selective coloring, but we couldn't find any! Maybe we didn't use the right search words, or maybe we didn't try hard enough, or maybe we are just impatient... Either way, we ended up making (as far as we know) one of the only SELECTIVE COLORING clubs on DA... or at least the English speaking part (though all languages are welcome of course hehe)

According to Wikipedia.com, "Selective color is a post-processing technique where most of a photo is converted to black and white, but some parts are left in color." That describes exactly what our gallery holds! It's generally a very simple technique, but the artistic quality is always top-notch

We welcome all genres of photography, just as long as it follows the principles of selective coloring/color isolation! We welcome different ideas of color isolation (i.e. sepia rather than b&w). If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, just send us a note and we will reply as soon as we are able to!

Every new month we will be choosing a deviation that's been submitted to our gallery (within the past month)! This is chosen by us to show exactly what selective coloring is all about... and also a photograph we just really like hehe So submit your best photography and you just might get the spot

***RULES***

JOINING
If you would like to JOIN, just send a note with JOIN in the title. Please ADD US to your friends' list and also add our icon to your journal! This way you can keep a watch on new submissions and also help advertise for more new members! {to add an icon to your journal ---> :icon***: <--- where the *** is, place the deviant's name - in our case it would be notice-the-color}

SUBMITTING
You must be a member first if you would like to SUBMIT anything!!! After you join, just send a note with SUBMIT in the title and the link to the deviation in the message. We love lots of submissions, but please try and limit yourself to two a day - just so we don't overload on one artist at a time! (Those two links may be submitted in one note!) If we have previously favorited one of your works (before you were a member) you are still welcome to submit that specific piece! Please just specify in your note that it is also on the favorites list so we know

When we post your deviation, we always place your deviant name in the title. Since that takes up character space, we need to clip the original titles of each deviation so it fits. The longer your deviant name, the shorter the title we will place. We figure it is best to have the artist in the title, so if anyone looks through our gallery they can find a specific deviant much quicker than clicking all pictures.

All deviations will be submitted under the category (we only accept photography) Photography > Miscellaneous, with the keywords club selective color isolation.

FAVORITING / COMMENTING
Do not fav or comment on our gallery! We are just a club, so that means other deviants give us permission to post their work. If you would like to fav a submission or make a comment, go to the link that says "original" in each comment section under the deviation. We are sure that the artists would appreciate the favorites a lot more than just us!! If you do happen to fav the submission on our page, we will send you a message right away to have you fix this But it really helps if you remember to comment the original.

AFFILIATIONS
If you would like to AFFILIATE with us, please just send a note with AFFILIATE in the title. Please add our icon to your journal and we will do the same! With this is a mutual advertisement that helps both of us gain new members and support! If you are at any time holding a contest and would like us to help advertise, send us a note and we'll put a small blurb at the top of our journal.

Questions / Comments / Concerns
If you have any questions that haven't been answered through the rules, you can send us a note as well. If the note system isn't working (as it has happened in the past) you can write on our wall with the other comments. But remember, notes are your friend!
